Flynn & O’Hara School Uniforms is the official store/website located in the Atlas Mall that we use to purchase school uniforms. If you’d like a preview, please go to www.flynnohara.com. They will be the only distributor of polo shirts and t-shirts and sweats for gym with the P.S. 232Q logo. If the logo does not matter to you, you can still purchase the same color uniform items at any local K-Mart, Target, Walmart, Cookies, etc. This will always remain another purchasing option for those who want to save money.
Middle School - a variety of sweats and sweatshirts from FANCLOTH have been added to our uniform. These items are for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders only. The FANCLOTH sale will begin on September 11th and end on October 13th.
All Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade Students - The following criteria will be used to calculate students’ grades each semester. This grading policy will be used by ALL subject teachers in the middle school grades:
60% tests/quizzes: Tests will evaluate major bodies of work (ex. novels, plays, literary items, units, chapters, etc.). Quizzes assess knowledge of a small body of work (ex. reading assignments, vocabulary, listening, etc.)
20% homework assignments which are an essential part of every class. When a student is absent from class, he or she is responsible for completing the homework assignment and handing it to the subject teacher.
20% class work: The class work grade will consist of written work done in class, class participation and in class projects.
Make-up Policy: It is the students’ responsibility to arrange to make up work missed because of absence from class. All reading and written assignments are due regardless of absences. Exceptions may be made in certain unusual circumstances. If a parent calls by 10:00 a.m. when a student is absent, homework can be picked up in the main office at 2:00 p.m.
